AlphaB Name

When designing the business, the name Alpha Bitch was a playful idea that popped into Samantha's mind, a nod to strong female leadership in an industry that has historically been dominated by men. She was aware it was not family-friendly, so AlphaB it became. The spirit behind it was never softened though. AlphaB still sits at the top of alphabetical search results, which suits us well. More than a name, it is a statement: this business was built by a woman who knew dogs long before the industry caught up, and it has been growing on that foundation ever since.

So our name isn't about outdated alpha theory methods it is instead a playful choice with a practical purpose that reflects who we are

Samantha's Founding Story

About

Samantha Jones founded AlphaB after a formative experience that most dog owners will recognise in some form. At fifteen, she acquired a working-line Doberman, a dog of considerable drive, high intelligence, and complexity that was well beyond the experience of most adults, let alone a teenager. Rather than step back, she stepped forward. She learned, she asked questions, she found the people who actually knew what they were doing, and she stayed curious long after the immediate challenge was resolved.

That dog, Sully, who went on to become the unofficial CEO of AlphaB and is remembered on this site to this day, was the beginning of everything. The experience gave Samantha a perspective that formal qualifications rarely provide: a genuine understanding of what it feels like to be an overwhelmed owner who loves their dog and is not quite sure what to do next.

Since then, Samantha has worked with over a thousand dogs and their owners across Cheshire. She has gone on to specialise in behaviour modification, reactivity, aggression, and nervousness, as well as canine conditioning and nutrition. She competes actively in IGP dog sport, a discipline that demands a precise, deep, and constantly evolving understanding of canine drive, control, and communication, and she has travelled internationally to further her knowledge and training expertise, continuing to do so as a matter of ongoing commitment to her own development. She has worked with owners facing mobility challenges, mental health difficulties, and learning differences, and brings that range of experience to the way she communicates with every client.

AlphaB exists because one owner refused to be overwhelmed. If that resonates with you, you are in the right place.

Our Services

1

ONE TO ONE DOG TRAINING

Private sessions at your home or at our Great Barrow base, shaped around your dog from the very first appointment. Every one to one begins with AlphaB's in-depth character and personality assessment, which informs the entire programme. Available with a trainer or with Samantha personally. Whether the need is obedience foundations, behaviour modification, dog aggression training, or support for a nervous dog, the approach is built for this dog, not a generalised one

2

Walk And Train

Your dog works on specific behavioural goals during a dedicated walk, without you needing to be present. Footage is provided after every session so you can see exactly what was covered and how your dog responded. Available with a trainer or with the head trainer.

3

Group Training

Group dog training classes in a private field, covering puppy training, adult classes, mixed age and ability, and advanced work. Specialist Exposure Walks take dogs into public environments to build confidence and neutrality, particularly for reactive dogs. New and existing dogs of all breeds welcome.

4

Day Train And Residential

Intensive day or residential programmes where your dog works through a structured, individually designed plan with the team. Regular video updates, clear documentation, and a thorough handover session ensure you are fully prepared to continue the work at home

5

Over Night Care

A qualified team member stays in your home overnight. Your dog remains in their own environment, in their own routine, with professional care throughout. Available across Cheshire and surrounding areas.

6

Physical fitness and dietary wellbeing approached with the same rigour as behaviour. Private canine conditioning sessions with Samantha, group fitness classes, and personalised nutrition consultations covering diet, supplementation, and long-term health.

We Also Offer ...

Group dog walks across Cheshire, social events, specialist workshops, pet taxi, and a wedding concierge service for owners who want their dog to be part of the day. AlphaB covers the details you might not have considered.

Whatever brought you here, there is almost certainly a service that fits.

What owners say.

AlphaB has worked with over a thousand dogs and their owners across Cheshire and the surrounding area. The outcomes speak for themselves.

New and existing customers welcome. Dogs of all breeds, ages, and backgrounds considered.

Community And Charity

AlphaB has always understood that dogs do not exist in isolation from the rest of life. The business makes regular charitable financial donations, funds education for children in underprivileged countries, volunteers at food banks, and runs a community give-and-take cupboard for dog-related items so that what is no longer needed by one family can find its way to another that does. Samantha's experience working with owners facing mobility challenges, mental health difficulties, and learning differences has shaped not just how AlphaB communicates with clients, but how the business thinks about access and inclusion more broadly.

Partnerships and Holistic Care

A dog's behaviour is rarely just a behaviour. Physical discomfort, postural issues, dietary factors, and stress load can all contribute to how a dog presents and responds. AlphaB's approach accounts for all of this. Where specialist input is indicated, the team works alongside qualified physiotherapists, canine massage therapists, hydrotherapists, and veterinary professionals. In-house, AlphaB also offers private canine conditioning and personalised nutrition advice, so that wherever the need sits, it is addressed.
